For Homeowners
How does Mullions choose which companies to feature?
We use a proprietary 30-point review process to evaluate companies on service quality, business integrity, reputation, and customer value. Only those that meet our criteria are listed.
Do companies pay to be listed on Mullions?
No. Listings on Mullions are entirely merit-based. Companies cannot pay to be featured or ranked—this helps us stay unbiased and trustworthy.
What makes a company “top-rated” on your site?
A top-rated company consistently demonstrates quality workmanship, fair pricing, responsive customer service, and solid online reviews, all verified through our 30-point inspection.
Does Mullions do on-site visits to verify companies?
We don’t do in-person visits. Instead, we conduct extensive online research using public records, customer reviews, and company websites. We also test contact responsiveness.
What is the Mullions 30-Point Review?
It’s a checklist we use to evaluate each business across categories like licensing, insurance, website quality, service clarity, customer reviews, and reputation. You can read the full list on our Review Standard page.
Do you cover every city in Canada?
Not yet. We focus on select cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary, where we can thoroughly review and maintain high-quality listings. More cities will be added over time.
Why do you list only a few companies per city?
We limit listings to ensure exclusivity and focus. This helps homeowners make clearer decisions and gives top-performing businesses a meaningful spotlight.
How often is your list updated?
Our team updates listings quarterly or sooner if we receive a correction request or discover major changes (e.g., company closure or poor performance).
Where does Mullions get its business information from?
We gather info from official company websites, public directories, licensing bodies, review platforms, and direct communication with businesses.
Can I trust the reviews and ratings shown on your listings?
Yes. We only use verified review sources and analyze review patterns to screen for manipulation. We also consider recency, volume, and depth of feedback.
What should I do if a business I contacted is no longer active?
Please email us at [email protected]. We will verify the business status and remove or update the listing accordingly.
Is Mullions a review platform or a ranking site?
We are a ranking site. We don’t collect reviews directly but use them as part of our evaluation process to help rank trusted businesses.
For Businesses
Can I submit my business to Mullions for review?
Yes. Visit our contact page or email [email protected] to request a review. If your company meets our 30-point criteria, we may include you in our next update.
My city already has listings—what’s the benefit of submitting my company now?
Even if there are listings, we periodically reassess companies. New submissions are considered during our update cycles, and strong candidates may replace underperforming ones.
How long does a business stay listed on Mullions?
As long as the business continues to meet our criteria. We review listings regularly and remove companies that fall below our standards.
Does placement order on your page matter?
All featured companies meet the same high standards. Positioning is for layout purposes only and doesn’t reflect a numerical rank.
Can I update or correct my business information on your site?
Absolutely. If you notice incorrect details, contact us at [email protected]. We’ll verify and update your listing promptly.
Are there promotional tools available for featured companies?
Yes. We provide badges and promotional assets you can use on your website or marketing materials to showcase your Mullions listing.
What does it mean to be listed as “top-rated” on Mullions?
It means your business has passed our independent 30-point review and is recognized for quality, trust, and local relevance in your city.
Does Mullions allow businesses with poor reviews to be listed?
We look at overall review trends. A few negative reviews don’t disqualify a company, but consistently poor feedback or unresolved complaints may prevent listing.
What is Mullions’ stance on ethical or discriminatory business practices?
We do not list businesses that show a pattern of discriminatory, unethical, or illegal behaviour. Community trust is central to our platform.
Do you factor in awards, certifications, or manufacturer partnerships?
Yes. These details strengthen a company’s profile and help us evaluate professionalism and product expertise.
